Res Ipsa Legal and Marketing LLP are regular clients at the Old Rose and Crown hotel.

‘We are based in the south of Birmingham and it is good not to have to travel into the centre of Birmingham when we have a need for an off-site venue’ says lawyer Barry Doherty.

‘Increasingly, clients who are based in Birmingham City Centre seem happy to make the short journey out to enjoy the peace that the hotel offers. It’s an easy journey – either 20 minutes on the train out to Longbridge or a short hop in the car. And as more and more of our clients are not city centre based, the location of the hotel is perfect, as it is so easy for the motorway network, and there are no parking problems’

What I have found best about the Old Rose and Crown hotel, is their ‘can do’ attitude. Nothing is too much trouble, and nothing seems to phase them. Sometimes, we just require a meeting room with regular coffee and perhaps a sandwich for a couple of hours. I think it is the difference between dealing with a hotel chain, with all sorts of rules, and dealing with an independent hotel, that can do as it pleases. If we need any equipment, it is always available for our use.The hotel staff are always really keen to please us, so that they continue to win our business. I can’t imagine we will be going anywhere else though, as the hotel offers such excellent value for money’

Proprietor Andrew Hodges commented ‘We do enjoy the benefits of being independent, and can be as flexible as possible to really provide what our customers need. It is good to see customer returning to us again and again, and also winning business from larger city centre businesses, as well as councils and hospitals. As budgets become under ever more pressure, our customers are finding that they can get exactly what they want at the hotel, at the price they want to pay’

The hotel offers a choice of conference rooms, all on the ground floor, with easy access, including disabled access. The rooms are bright and airy, with plenty of natural daylight, and enjoy views across the Lickey Hills. Conferences can be booked on a room hire only basis, a day delegate, or 24 hour delegate rate. Menus are flexible too, sandwiches fruit, a hot or cold buffet, or something more formal. If overnight accommodation is required, then the hotel has eleven en-suite guest rooms, with the choice of up-grading to a superior room. Whatever your conference and training requirements, do please get in touch.
