Originally a coaching inn, the Old Rose and Crown Hotel is steeped in history and is a landmark building in the heart of the stunning Lickey Hills. Set in the 400-acre park, the hotel is easily accessible from the M42 and M5 motorways - and just 9 miles from Birmingham City Centre.
Following a full refurbishment, the hotel now boasts 11 en-suite guest rooms, function rooms for civil weddings and wedding receptions for between 45 and 140 guests, conference facilities and a restaurant which is open for Sunday lunch.
Born and bred in Kings Norton, Birmingham, Andrew has happy memories of his grandad taking him to the Lickeys to feed the ducks and sledge down Beacon Hill.

Laura has an NVQ 2 and a Diploma in Hospitality and enjoys attending college and learning new methods and techniques in the industry. Laura thrives on continually pushing to drive up standards and improve the customer experience. She has worked at the hotel for 23 years so you can’t get much past her!
Outside of work Laura enjoys family time, saying it’s important to make every day spent with her boys count. They enjoy exercising together, bike riding, walking, boxing and doing Zumba in the park, as well as Scouts, where Laura is a leader.
Growing up locally, Clare has spent many afternoons walking her dog or feeding the ducks, with her son, up the Lickey Hills. Joining the team here was a huge bonus for Clare as the hotel lies in the heart of the beautiful countryside she knows and loves so much.
Clare has worked in several administrative roles over the last 20 years but she always aspired to be a wedding co-ordinator. She decided to return to full-time education in 2012, as a mature student, and graduated from University College Birmingham in 2016, where she gained a First Class BA(Hons)Degree in Event Management and Digital Marketing.
The newest addition to our team, Clare joined us back in September 2017 and is thoroughly enjoying her new role helping our brides achieve the day of their dreams
